    OK I dont want to start a vs. thread. But im torn between the 2. My dept allows its officers to have 2 backup/off-duty firearms. So my duty is a Glock 22, backup is a Glock 27 (both .40 cal) while on my tour. Im now looking into an off duty weapon in 9mm (full or compact). Its between the HK P2000(sk) w/LEM or the SW M&P(c) 9mm. I owned a late 90's USP compact. There was minimal barrel wear. I would guess maybe 500 rounds, but the gun had clearly been carried a lot. My point is, its hard to tell. There will be some tell tale barrel wear, but HKs aren't as quick to show it as, say, a SIG. There are also a lot of police trade in USP .40s. Caliber is .40 S&W. It is a high quality German made semi-automatic pistol with a 4-1/4" barrel, a frame mounted safety and a detachable magazine. The pistol is equipped with 3 dot sights. The overall condition is good, the pistol does show some use, it is a police trade in. The finish on the slide is in good condition with edge wear and scuffing. The polymer frame and grips are in good condition with minor dings and scuffs from use. I had a HK USP in 40, very nice gun. IIRC they were the first handgun specifically designed from the ground up around the 40 caliber cartridge. Of all handguns I've sold, that's #1 on my list I'd like to get back. I got tired of EDC'ing a full size pistol so traded it off. .
