If your lifters start acting up, the ticking noise might not even be noticeable at first. hi brian, the lifters are brand new harley lifters. i put them in when i put in an ev 27 cam. the bike was making this noise prior to the cam, but not as loud. i changed the cam because the cam bearing went bad.( whining) all the needle rollers wear still in the bad bearing also. thanks for the quick reply. &nbs p; p.s., Typically, on a Harley, the bearing that supports the roller at the bottom of the lifter fails.
